For those coming into Palm Springs early, and would like to golf with other ITAers, please contact Steve Krueger to be added to the list.  Steve will organize the pairings, and make reservations.  You will be responsible for payment directly to the course the day of.  Transportation will be individually arranged.

Tee times will likely start around 12:00pm or 12:30pm – golf paid directly to golf course.

Hop aboard the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and see the wide - open space, endless blue skies, ad a dramatic mountain backdrop of Greater Palm Springs like never before. Located just minutes from downtown Palm Springs and considered the gateway to the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains national Monument, the world's largest rotating tramcar take travelers on a 10-minute ride, ascending more than 8,500 feet from the base of Chino Canyon to the top of Mount San Jacinto, where breathtaking taking views and pristine wildness await.

Estimated itinerary:

  • Meet in Hotel Lobby 8:45 am
  • Depart Hotel at 9:00 am
  • Arrival to Tramway by 9:45
  • Travel to the top by 10:15
  • Exploring on your own 10:15 - 12:00pm

Fun Facts:

The weather at the Mountain Station is typically 30-40 degrees cooler than on the desert floor.

In the 2023-2024 season, the first light snowfall occurred in early November and the final snowfall in Mid-May.

There are two restaurants, a cocktail lounge, observation decks, a small natural history museum, two theaters showing State Park and tram construction videos, a gift shops, Magic Memories for photo viewing, and over 50 miles of hiking trails along with other nature activities.

ITA will inform the location that people will be arriving between 6:30 and 7:00pm. We made these arrangements as a way for ITA folks to meet together tonight if desired.  All will be responsible for their own individual check and/or table.
